About us

White Knight Kennels LLC has been a lifelong dream. It didn't come to fruition until the opportunity and need arose.

White Knight Kennels is owned and operated by Jody Perrea, a retired lieutenant with the Clinton County Sheriff's Department, local Dog Control Officer, and lifelong animal lover. 

​

Jody, who has a degree in Criminal Justice and Animal Science, retired from the Sheriff's Department in 2018.  About a year after his retirement Jody was asked to become the Dog Control Officer (DCO) for Beekmantown. Today he is the DCO for Beekmantown, Champlain, Chazy, and Rouses Point.

When the boarding facility the towns were using for stray/lost dogs let them know that they were unable to provide their services to the towns anymore, Jody went to the towns with the idea of White Knight Kennels - a place for stray and lost dogs to stay until reunited with their owners or until they are able to be adopted out.
